(March 2nd, 2015) – 19-year-old Concord, North Carolina, native and 2014 Hickory Motor Speedway (NC) NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) Super Truck champion Spencer Boyd announced Monday a partnership with Hendrick Dodge of Concord to race in multiple NWAAS Limited Late Model Series races in 2015. Boyd will pilot the No. 48 Hendrick Dodge of Concord Late Model with J&J Motorsports for eight races at Hickory Motor Speedway with a possibility of more added throughout the year.
After moving up from Legends Car racing, Boyd dominated the Super Truck division at the historic Hickory, North Carolina track in 2014, earning his first NASCAR championship. Boyd will transition to the Limited Late Model in 2015 to continue his rise through the sport.
“The Hendrick name and Dodge brand are iconic, from the race track to the streets,” said Boyd. “I am excited for the opportunity to represent the Hendrick Dodge of Concord brand at Hickory Motor Speedway. We had a great season last year at Hickory with Scott Whitaker and the entire J&J Motorsports team, so we are looking forward to carrying that momentum into this season and I am looking forward to drive the No. 48 Hendrick Dodge of Concord Late Model this year.”
Hendrick Dodge of Concord is part of the new Hendrick Auto Mall in Concord, North Carolina, situated in-between interstate 85 and Charlotte Motor Speedway on Bruton Smith Boulevard.
