From DawsonCram.com – During the month of April, Dawson Cram just couldn’t quite break into victory lane. In three races in the Legends Young Lions division at Concord Speedway (NC), he picked up three runner-up finishes. However, that changed on Friday and Saturday, May 1st and 2nd, as he drove the No. 11 FLUIDYNE High Performance / Ironstone Lane Rescue and Stables Legends Car to two victories.
Throughout the weekend, the Cram Racing Enterprises team tried some variations to their set-up, which helped the handling of the car. It showed in qualifying as Cram was able to pick up both pole positions on Friday and Saturday, prior to the features. Besides his team’s performance, advice from current CARS Tour Super Late Model points leader Cole Timm helped propel Cram to the double victory.
“Cole is a friend of mine, and he came out to Concord to give me some driver coaching, which really helped me a lot,” said Cram. “A big thanks to him, my Cram Racing Enterprises team, FLUIDYNE High Performance, and Ironstone Lane Rescue and Stables for helping me get these two poles and two wins.”
