CONCORD, NC : For the first time in three years, the U.S. Legend Cars Asphalt Nationals will be returning home to the southern part of the United States. The yearly event, which brings together the best of the best in Legend Car racing, will take place this upcoming weekend, November 13-14, at Anderson Motor Speedway in South Carolina.
While the drivers are battling for important points towards the INEX national championship, fans, family and friends at home will be able to watch all of the action live on Speed51 TV through pay-per-view video broadcasts Friday and Saturday.
“Throughout the season we witness the future stars and cagy veterans competing in Legend Cars all across the country. The Legend Asphalt Nationals brings all of these drivers together to showcase some of the grittiest short track racing you’ll ever see,” said Speed51.com Executive Director Matt Kentfield. “Our team at Speed51 TV is excited to give fans, family and friends unable to make it to Anderson the chance to watch live from the comfort of their homes.”
The Legend Asphalt Nationals kicks off on Friday afternoon when drivers from the Young Lion, Semi-Pro, Pro and Master divisions qualify for the main event. Qualifying will include five lap time trial runs before heat races that will help set the grid for each of the A-Main features that will take place on Saturday.
Once qualifying is over, there will be four Race of Champions races going the distance of 20 minutes each.
Speed51 TV will go live at 12:30 p.m. ET Friday afternoon to bring fans all of the qualifying action and Race of Champions events.
Saturday is Championship Day for all four divisions and things will get started at 2:30 p.m. with four 25-lap B-Main features. Each of those B-Mains will transfer drivers to the big shows, while the 40-lap A-Main features are scheduled to start at 3:45 p.m.
Speed51 TV’s live broadcast will begin Saturday when the first B-Main begins at 2:30 pm.
