PEEBLES, OH : The rumblings behind the scenes are true, the event that will crown the best Dirt Legend Car driver between the Northern States and the Southern States will happen in 2019. On March 9th, the best Dirt Legend Car drivers from above and below the Mason-Dixon line will converge on Senoia, GA at the pew Senoia Raceway for the Inaugural Legend Car North/South Shootout. The new event will pit the stars of the Ohio Valley Roofers Legend Car Series and the Dirt Legends of Georgia against each other to determine who can out wheel the other on the gumbo of Senoia.
The North/South Shootout on Saturday March 9th will open the 2019 campaign as a non-points event for the Ohio Valley Roofers Legend Car Series and is co-sanctioned with Christopher Clanton’s Dirt Legends of Georgia, the series who made its home in 2018 at Senoia Raceway. The event will be the first event sanctioned by the Ohio Valley Roofers Legend Car Series outside of Ohio, Kentucky or West Virginia. In 2018, OVRLCS Regulars ventured to Senoia in March for a Dirt Legends of Georgia event and wound up sweeping the top three finishing positions after a final lap crash between the top two. However, later in the season Ohio’s own Steven Partin returned to Senoia once again in which Georgia’s Christopher Clanton dominated to prove the strength of the Dirt Legends of Georgia.
On March 9th, the night’s action will include a hot lap session, heat races and a feature event to decide who is the Inaugural North/South Shootout Champion.
The rules for the event will resemble the OVRLCS and Dirt Legends of Georgia rule books with a Federal only (Cut or Uncut) tire rule, which must read 58 or higher on the inspectors durometer, along with INEX car measurement, engine and suspension rules.
The top three in the Shootout feature will be inspected. The Ohio Valley Roofers Legend Car Series is sanctioned by the National Legend Car Association, to view their Full Rule book CLICK HERE.
The top 25 drivers entered will have a guaranteed spot in the A-Main. To enter, contact Christopher Clanton with the Dirt Legends of Georgia or Steven and Ashley with the OVRLCS with the drivers name and car number. New Senoia Raceway will be hosting open practice on February 23rd for those wanting to get some laps in before The Shootout.
