HAMPTON, VA : Cody Bryant, Jr took the Bandolero series pole with his 21.171 second lap as Ryley Music earned his place on the front row in second. Jacob Derrick, Wyatt Philyaw and Logan Clark were the five quickest in the afternoon qualifying session.
Music would lead the first lap from the outside row. Once the field began to settle in line, the only side by side battle on the track soon became the first caution when Aaliyah Paynter went around from contact with Wyatt Philyaw. Both were able to continue when the restart to the feature took place.
Music jumped out to another quick lead as he secured the point with Bryant, Jr in tow. Just before the halfway point, the top two began to separate from the rest of the field. Over the final laps, the battle for win was in play as race leader Music had Bryant in search for a way around. As they came to the checkered flag it was Music by a car length for the win.
“Cody is a really good driver right now, I had to watch him really hard,” Music in victory lane. “I’m glad to be back in victory lane. It has just been a couple of races since I’ve been here. I love it!

Nick Smith was back on the Legends division pole with a lap at 17.978 seconds. Ryan Matthews would earn his spot on the front row with Spencer Saunders, Connor Jones and Ryan Center the first five in qualifying.
The drop of the green flag saw the pole sitter Smith come around to lead lap one. Saunders from the three spot went to second, but a few laps later he surrendered the spot back to Matthews. With the field single file, the leader Smith would lead the field in a torrid pace and built nearly a half a straightaway lead.
Ryan Center was on the move as he got by Saunders for third. Halfway through the feature and nothing much changed as Smith, the pole sitter was in complete control out front. Matthews, who otherwise had been the car to beat, could not close in over the final laps. The night, the race and the hardware would go to Nick Smith by 2.001 seconds.
“Haven’t been in a Legends car in seven years and my buddy Chris Raiford built this car and did an awesome job,” Smith in victory lane afterwards. “It just took us a little bit longer to get to victory lane. Hats off to the guys in the 51 and all those guys. We found some stuff this week and I am just glad to get back in the car”.
