INNISFIL, ON : Sunset Speedway (Ontario, Canada) is the site of this year’s INEX Canadian Nationals and it takes place on Saturday, August 17th and Sunday, August 18th. The event will feature some of the best Legend car racers from across Ontario, plus several United States invaders and even a participant from overseas.
The two-day event is part of a big weekend of racing on the high-banked 1/3rd-mile oval located just an hour from downtown Toronto. Along with the Ontario Legends Series, who are putting on the Canadian Nationals, the APC United Late Model Series will be in action for their penultimate race of the 2019 campaign with a 100 lap affair as the highlight to Saturday’s racing.
Sunday afternoon will feature the 2nd Annual Canadian Legend Car Asphalt Nationals taking center stage with heat and feature racing as one driver could have the opportunity to leave Sunset Speedway with $10,000. The overall weekend champion will collect $4,000 (CDN) and if that driver also wins both feature races, he or she will bag an additional $6,000 (CDN) to make it an even $10,000 (CDN) in prize money.
On top of this already being a huge event for Sunset Speedway and the Ontario Legends Series, it will be shown to a worldwide audience via a live broadcast on LegendsNation TV. Subscribers to LNTV will see live action on both Saturday and Sunday, including the Canadian Legend Cars Asphalt Nationals, the APC Late Models, plus a 50 lap Super Stock Jukasa Qualifier on Sunday that pays the winner $1,500 and a 35 lap Mini Stock feature paying $1,300 to the winner.
