CORDELE, GA : With the current global pandemic still ongoing, the normal start of the Thursday Thunder Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway has been put on hold until after the NASCAR rescheduled weekend takes place in early June. While there is no definite announcement of when the racing will resume on the “Thunder Ring”, LegendsNation.com did confirm that all ten rounds will take place this summer, with logistics and other event guidelines to be announced as well.
This upcoming weekend Crisp Motorsports Park, formally known as Watermelon Capital Speedway gets back to racing with a two-day event special. On Friday, the stage is all centered around the Legends of Georgia racers as both Legends and Bandoleros will compete in twin INEX point feature races.
Saturday, those two divisions will do battle once more as they join the Pro Late Models, Pro Trucks, Mini Stocks and more for an action-packed day and night of racing.
For Bandolero race teams interested in running at Cordele this upcoming weekend, the new Bandolero Hoosier race tire is not eligible to be raced. That tire becomes legal on Monday, June 1st for competition.
Other notes for race INEX race teams are as follows :
- Fuel – Shell 93 or VP MS98
- Bandolero gear rule 14/54 or 15/58 w red plate. 1/2 in stock spacer not cut with the stock gaskets
- INEX Tech will be present.
- The 1/2 inch stock spacer when you run a restrictor plate will be effective June 1st.

12:00 PM – Open Practice Begins
4:00 PM – Open Practice Ends
6:00 PM – Hot Laps, Qualifying and twin features
Driver Entry Fee is $50 / per feature race and $50 for the optional practice. Crew members are admitted free of charge.

9:30 AM – Hot Laps / Qualifying
FEATURES IMMEDIATELY FOLLOW QUALIFYING
1:00 PM – ALL INEX RACING TO BE DONE FOR THE DAY
Saturday’s entry fee is $30 for each person that attends, driver and crew members.
