PELETIER, NC : U.S. Legends Cars and INEX International has released its findings after conducting field tests on tires from the top-three finishers of the August 22, 2020 Legends feature at Bobby Watson’s Carteret County Speedway and, after inspection, Zack Brown has inherited the victory in the race.
Tires were taken from Brenton Irving, Zack Brown and Aaron Crumpler and sent to U.S. Legend Cars and INEX International for further inspection. The tire belonging to Irving failed inspection, being found in violation of the tread depth rule. As a result, Irving has been disqualified from the August 22nd race. The tires belonging to Brown and Crumpler passed the field tests, and those two drivers move to first and second on the official results for the August 22nd race respectively.
The win is Brown’s first at Carteret County Speedway. He is the third consecutive first time Carteret Legends winner and the third different winner in three races in 2020 – joining Jaiden Reyna and Chase Singletary as race winners this season.
The Legends division will be back in action on Sunday, September 6th as a part of the Bobby Watson Memorial Celebration.
