The 60th anniversary event at Ona Speedway in Cabell County, West Virginia was scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 13. However, due to weather, the track announced on Friday the postponement of the racing action.
“With a high chance of rain from this evening until 8:00 pm tomorrow, track officials have no other choice but to cancel tomorrow’s 4th Annual Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Cabin Fever Bash,” according to a post on the track’s social media. “We want to get this season going really bad, but unfortunately mother nature just isn’t working with us right now.”
According to the post, the season opener will now be Saturday, June 3. However, to make up for the lost race date, the track has added Saturday, June 10 to the schedule.
