Semi-Pro Legends racer Ian Hampton raced on Saturday, June 10, at Crisp Motorsports Park in Georgia with a higher purpose. Long time family friend and fellow racer Gary Hardin passed away Friday due to cancer, and on Saturday, while Hampton finished second in the combined-division Young Lions and Semi-Pro feature, he was first of his division, snagging the memorable win. Hampton dedicated his victory to Hardin.
“This one’s for you Gary Hardin love you man,” Hampton posted on social media. “A Georgia racing legend gone way to soon. I like to think your looking down smiling we’re going to keep looking up smiling back.”
