Ben Massman won the fifteen lap feature for the Legends Direct Legends.
Ben Massman was another first-time winner on the Ring of Fire after picking up the victory in the Legends Direct Legends feature event.
James Bell and Spencer Polacek led the field to the green flag in the fifteen lap field. The caution flag came out after the first lap when two cars made contact in turn one. All cars involved were able to continue. Bell brought the field back to the green flag with Ben Massman and Jacob Stark side by side for third. Massman moved up to second and then powered his way to the outside of Bell to take the lead on lap 3. Massman wasted no time putting some real estate between himself and the second place car of Bell and was quickly checking away from the field until a spin on lap 9 brought out the second caution flag of the race.
Massman paced the field back to green with Bell in second followed by Eric Blumer and Lincoln Cain. On lap 10 Cain took the third spot and one lap later took second from Bell and started to hunt down Massman. But despite his best efforts, there just wasn’t going to be enough time as Massman picked up the win. Cain, Bell, Blumer, and Jacob Stark rounded out the top five.
Ryan Laatsch set fast time with a lap of 14.062 (64.002 mph). Jacob Stark and Ben Massman won the eight lap heat races.
Axel Oldenfoff Best of the Bandoleros
Oldenhoff won his first career feature race at Madison topping the eleven car field of Bandoleros.
Ransom Tate and Emily Billings had the honors of bringing the Bandoleros field to the green flag. Billings took the early lead before a spin brought out the caution flag after one lap. She led the field back to the green flag and battled out front with Axel Oldenhoff for the lead before a stalled car on lap 3 brought out the second caution flag of the race. Billings continued to lead after the restart, but Axel Oldenhoff was able to pull to the inside of Billings to take the lead before another caution flag came out for a stalled vehicle. Oldenhoff maintained his lead over Billings when the green flag waved again. On lap 7 Wesley Baumeister moved up to the second position ahead of Billings. A spin in turn four caused another caution flag with three laps to go. Oldenhoff would lead the rest of the way to pick up the win followed by Baumeister, Stein, Ransom Tate, and Blake Michael.
Axel Oldenhoff was quick qualifier with a lap of 14.584 (61.711 mph). Six lap heat races were won by Blake Michael and Ace Oldenhoff. All of the Bandoleros received bonus money from Tim’s Detailing.
