Eleven invited drivers were scheduled to take part of the 2nd annual Earnhardt Outdoors Showdown event on the streets of Kannapolis, North Carolina, on Thursday afternoon, May 23. The “challengers” in the timed lap event on a short oval course were Gianni Esposito, Lance Griffith, JC Fickenscher, Josh Lowe, Dillon Thomas, Zach Mertes, Jake Bollman, and Lucas Vera, with the “legends” were Lawless Alan, Noah Gragson, and Daniel Hemric. At the end of the event, it was Hemric taking the title and doing his known backflip off his Legends as the winner.
