LABELLE COMES FROM THE BACK FOR LEGENDS CARS WIN

SEEKONK, Mass. — In a race to beat out Mother Nature — and the rest of the field — Brenden LaBelle had to work for it on Friday night at Seekonk Speedway. LaBelle started at the rear of the 25-lap Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars feature and drove all the way to the front, rocketing to Victory Lane in the No. 4. Although it was his first win of the new season, LaBelle is no stranger to winning races on Fast Friday.

While LaBelle made the move late and drove away with the win, the battle for second was on behind him. After a hard-fought battle, Zach Martinez came home with a strong second-place finish. It was young driver Ryan Vanasse Jr. – a former Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero winner – who grabbed his first career podium behind him, finishing in third. Chase Silvia and last week’s winner Richie Helger Jr followed in fourth and fifth.

Josh Parsons, Mason Tessier, Jacob “Rowdy” Burns, Kevin Davis and Rodney Dowless Jr. finished the top-10 spots.

The Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars will be back on the track on Friday, June 14, for another 25-lap main event. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.

BERNIER VISITS SEEKONK VICTORY LANE FOR THE FIRST TIME

SEEKONK, Mass. — David Bernier had two podium finishes in two races entering Friday night at Seekonk Speedway. This time around, he was back on the podium – but in the top spot. Bernier captured his first career Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandit career feature win in the 15-lap event on June 7 and he did it in dominating fashion.

Bernier drove away out front, besting the second-place finisher Luka Dib by over three seconds at the finish line. He has now been victorious for the first time in his Seekonk Speedway career, adding his name to a historic list of drivers as winners at the Action Track of the East. Dib, who won the first race of the season, finished a strong second, while Mason Silva, who won the week prior, was back on the podium in third.

Ayla Martin and Jase Chaber followed in fourth and fifth, with Kennedy Burrows not far behind.

The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits will be back on the track on Friday, June 14, for another 15-lap main event. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.

PARKER DAVIS FINDS SEEKONK VICTORY LANE AGAIN

SEEKONK, Mass. — Parker Davis picked up multiple wins last year, racing to the championship in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits. This year, Davis made the jump to the Outlaw division, the older of the Seekonk competitors in the Youth Racing Association.

When it came to Friday night, June 7 at Seekonk Speedway, Davis had his work cut out for him. But, he charged to the front and won the race. Davis had to hold off Mike Hanafin in a late dash to hold on for the win.

The first victory of the season is likely the first of many for Davis in his Outlaw career.

Hanafin, who won the first race of the season, had a strong car and finished a solid second. Winner from one week prior, Brody Wakefield, finished in third, with Bryson Robidoux and Nick Uhrig Jr. rounding out the top-five.

Allyha DeSomma, Ryder Aguiar, Zacarias Kelley, Vincert Sarro and Nathan Zimmerman finished in the top-10 behind them.

The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws will be back on the track on Friday, June 14, for another 15-lap main event. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
