Lanier Raceway located in Braselton, Georgia, will not race Legends and Bandoleros for the remainder of the 2024 season.
In 2022, the Caffeine and Octane company, who specializes in automotive marketing, car shows, and television production, acquired ownership of Lanier to turn the facility into more of an all-around entertainment venue. Legends and Bandolero racing did occur on the three-eighths mile oval portion of the track since they took over ownership, however, the races were not as frequent as they once were in the past.
In 2024, Legends and Bandoleros were on the schedule a few times (according to the Legends of Georgia schedule), however, after the March 23 races, they have not hit the track since, and no other dates have been listed.
Rumors across social suggested the track felt the car count wasn’t where the track wanted, therefore they decided not to race them again this year, removing an April date as well as any other possibility of hitting the track in 2024.
Legends Nation received communications with the track this past Friday (June 14), confirming no more race dates will be added for the year.
“At this time we do not have any other Legends racing scheduled for 2024,” the statement said, in part. “A potential 2025 schedule will be considered later in the year. But details would need to be worked out to make that happen.”
