Pole sitter Justin Cunningham would jump out to the early lead over Travis McClelland and Mike Racine. The field would slow on lap four as Wayne Dutter Jr would spin in turn four and then his car would briefly catch fire. Track crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly. The field would quickly slow again on lap five as Jeremy Hahn would spin in turn one. On the restart Cunningham would continue to lead, as several cars battled behind him, three wide at one point. Once the field settled back in line, Cunningham would have an eight car lead over Racine and now Shaun Abney. Cunningham would slowly pull away from the field each lap. His lead would be erased on lap thirteen after Mathew Campbell would spin at the top of turn two, bringing out the final caution of the event. Cunningham would go on to win the feature event. This would be his first win in the class. In victory lane he would go on to say “I’ve ran second and came close to a win here in the past. I wasn’t going to let this one get away from me today!” Mike Racine and Shaun Abney would round out the top three.
