From South Boston Speedway (VA) PR –
Michigan native Jacob Staten, now a North Carolina resident, took the lead from Virginian Daniel Silvestri with nine laps to go and won the 30-lap INEX Legend Car race Saturday night at South Boston Speedway.
The race was the first INEX U.S. Legend Car race at South Boston Speedway in 12 years.
Silvestri battled Staten hard throughout the race, but trailed Staten by .659-second at the finish.
Isaac Kitzmiller, Keelan Harvick, the 11-year-old son of NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kevin Harvick, and Nicholas Bulkeley rounded out the top five finishers.
There were two lead changes in the race with Staten leading twice for a total of 26 laps and Silvestri leading once for a total of four laps.
