Topper Media, a company founded by industry veteran Joe Maylish, has announced the launch of Ultra Broadcasting, a new platform designed to deliver live event coverage from Florence Motor Speedway (SC) and Southern National Motorsports Park (NC), with plans to expand to additional racetracks. Maylish, who is a former Western Regional Manager for U.S. Legend Cars International, has over 30 years of motorsports experience and two decades of corporate expertise.
In addition to Ultra Broadcasting, the Ultra Racing Association (URA) was formed, which is a sanctioning body that both Florence and Southern National will be under.

In 2025, Florence Motor Speedway and Southern National Motorsports Park will join forces with the Ultra Racing Association (URA) in an exciting new partnership genuinely designed for racers by racers.
URA, a leading sanctioning body, offers numerous benefits, including comprehensive insurance coverage, competitive points systems, and exciting year-end celebrations for participants. This collaboration provides short tracks with an innovative alternative to traditional sanctioning bodies, focusing on reducing licensing fees and reinvesting in racers’ programs.

Mark Your Calendar: 2025 Season Opener
The 2025 URA season will begin with The Icebreaker on the weekend of February 8 at Florence Motor Speedway. This highly anticipated event will feature a 125-lap showdown among North America’s top short-track racers at the historic 4/10-mile oval in Timmonsville, South Carolina. This race will be the first URA-sanctioned event broadcast live on Ultra Broadcasting.
