Open Wheel Showdown to Possibly Add Legends to 2025 Event

Legends Nation has learned promoters of the Open Wheel Showdown are looking to add Legends to their 2025 event, which will take place later this year. The combined-division non-INEX points event is expected to be open to drivers 12 years of age and up, and include an above-average purse with a $1500-to-win 40-lap feature. LN has also learned the winner will receive one of the incredible unique trophies designed in a collaboration between Open Wheel Showdown, Max Papis Innovations and Tab Boyd, awarded to winners since the event’s inception.

The Open Wheel Showdown is known for its iconic guest appearances, including former IndyCar driver and team owner Sam Schmidt, Indy 500 winners Buddy Rice and Arie Luyendyk, celebrity TV star Arie Luyendyk Jr., Hall of Fame NASCAR driver Mark Martin, open wheel racing legend Bentley Warren, and legendary award-winning commentator Ralph Sheheen.
