As heard first on Legends Nation after he won the 2025 Spring Nationals Bandolero Bandits division championship, and confirmed by his NASCAR champion father Kyle Busch on the Door Bumper Clear show this week, Brexton Busch will make his Legend Car debut at Hickory Motor Speedway (NC) on May 22.
The Spring Nationals had five rounds of racing action between two tracks, April 14 – 19, in Tennessee: Veterans Motorplex at the Rim and Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Brexton won four of his division’s five races, claiming the Spring Nationals championship.
Just after winning the final race on April 19, he told LN about his Legend Car debut at the historic Hickory Motor Speedway, and racing both divisions at Charlotte.
“My first race (in the Legend Car) is at Hickory,” said Brexton Busch. “But with Charlotte we are running Bando and Legend. That would mean a lot [to win at Hickory, in] my first race, too.”
The full interview can be watched by clicking here on Facebook, or here on YouTube.
Additionally, during the Door Bumper Clear show published on April 28, Kyle Busch stated Brexton will race his Bandolero at the entire Summer Shootout in the Bandits division to prepare for the Bandolero Nationals, which will be held at Charlotte Motor Speedway, September 12 and 13. He said Brexton will race some races in the Legends Chargers division as well, which can be watched by clicking here (starting around the 11:20 mark). Kyle Busch also stated while they are doing their own Legends program, they are getting assistance from Joe Ryan Race Cars. That is the same organization Keelan Harvick, NASCAR Champion Kevin Harvick’s son, currently races with in Legends.
Brexton tested his Legend Car this week at Hickory, and footage of the test can be found on his Facebook page.
Legends Nation will be at the entire 2025 Summer Shootout Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway through the summer with photos, video interviews, and more. Stay tuned for more information, coming soon.
