The Legends Tour West raced on Saturday, May 10, at All American Speedway (CA) with the CARS Tour West. Jeremy Doss won the feature. Read the race recap from Steven Blakesley below, as well as results from Race Monitor.
The MMI Legends Tour West staged a classic battle between standout driver Jeremy Doss of Upperlake and 14-year-old upstart Taylor Mayhew of Bakersfield. Mayhew snatched the lead from Doss on lap 12. On lap 25, Doss battled back to retake the position. Mayhew crossed him over and the pair raced side-by-side. Mayhew led lap 27, before Doss made a crossover and took it back on lap 28. Mayhew and Doss then traded another pair of crossovers to the approval of the large crowd. Doss made the decisive manuever on lap 29 and held on for the win. Taylor Mayhew settled for second followed by his father David. Chase Burgeson and Huntington Beach’s Robby Czub rounded out the top-five finishers.
