Legends raced at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl (CT) on Saturday, May 17, with Brandon Martinez winning the feature. The race recap from the track and results are below.
Dylan Freeman and Wade Oemcke were the first to break away from the Legend Car hornets’ nest that encompassed the top 10. Brandon Martinez, who one week prior made heavy contact with the turn 1 wall, last week’s winner Zachary Martinez, and Riley Paul were working their way forward in traffic. A restart on lap 5 allowed the three drivers to pull into the lead where they would run for a majority of the race. A caution with just 2 to go for a fluid leak reset the stage for Brandon. He held on to a slick track as Zachary and Paul duked it out to round out the podium.
