Winchester Speedway in Virginia held racing action on Saturday, August 5, with Logan Carbaugh winning the Legends feature. Race story below by Brent Hottle posted on the track’s social (Legends portion extracted for posting on LN). Photo credit: Kevin Chapman
The legend cars would round out the night’s events. Outside pole sitter Logan Carbaugh would lead lap one, with Chris Transeau and Preston Alleman right on his tail. By lap six Carbaugh would have pulled out to a two car lead over Transeau, who had pulled away about ten car lengths over Alleman. Transeau would begin to reel in the leader as the pair began to navigate lap traffic. On lap thirteen we would see Carbaugh and Transeau go four wide splitting a pair of lap cars. Transeau would try a slide job into turn one. It wouldn’t stick and this allowed Carbaugh to regain the lead. Logan Carbaugh would win his first ever feature at the Winchester Speedway. Chris Transeau and Preston Alleman would round out the top three.
