PARSONS COMES FROM THE BACK, WINS THE RACE, TRIPLE CROWN TITLE IN LEGENDS

SEEKONK, Mass. — The day didn’t start off right for Josh Parsons on Friday in the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars. Parsons had trouble in qualifying and a tire came off his car while entering turn three. He was able to save it from hitting the wall, but had to start at the rear after the team fixed it for the finale of the Everett’s Triple Crown Series, set for 30 laps.

Parsons worked his way from the back to the front to take the lead on lap 17 and drive away to the win in the race and the winner of the Everett’s Triple Crown title for 2023. Talk about a turnaround of a day for the driver of the No. 09.

Jacob “Rowdy” Burns scored a second-place finish, while Richie Helger Jr., who won the week prior, finished in third after 30 laps. Mason Tessier was fourth and Isaiah Newcomb, who also started at the rear, finished in fifth.

Nicholaus Bulkeley, Cole Robie, Brendan LaBelle, Kevin Davis and Chase Silvia were in positions six through 10 at the finish.

The Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars will be back on track on Friday, August 25, for another 25-lap feature. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media for the latest news and updates.

DAVIS PASSES UHRIG, WINS RACE, TRIPLE CROWN TITLE IN BANDOLERO BANDITS

SEEKONK, Mass. — For the third straight week in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits, Parker Davis and Nick Uhrig Jr. battled side-by-side for the win on Friday night. This time, Davis came out on top of the battle, and it was not only a win in the 15-lap feature, but also a Triple Crown championship.

Davis’ victory earned him the Everett’s Triple Crown title by just .018 seconds across the line. The two drivers have run to the finish wheel-to-wheel for three weeks in a row, with barely any contact, if any at all. For youth racing, it’s been something special to watch at Seekonk Speedway.

Uhrig was frustrated with his results, but finished a strong second-place in the No. 11. Mike Hanafin was right with the two leaders coming to the checkered flag, and finished on the podium in third. Sam Macedo and Mason Silva finished in the fourth and fifth spot.

David Bernier posted his best career finish in sixth, with Luka Dib, Jayden Sprague, Alya Martin and Ryder Aguiar finishing off the field.

The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits will be back on track on Friday, August 25, for another 15-lap feature. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media for the latest news and updates.

MORIBITO WINS THE RACE, GOMES WINS TRIPLE CROWN TITLE IN BANDOLERO OUTLAWS

SEEKONK, Mass. — There were two different drivers celebrating at the end of Friday’s Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaw feature at Seekonk Speedway. Ben Moribito picked up the win in the 15-lap race, his first of the Seekonk season, while Andrew Gomes finished third in the feature and came away with the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown championship.

Moribito was in the right place at the right time when the two leaders tangled just before halfway and took the lead on lap seven. From there, he never looked back. Moribito beat Bryson Robidoux to the finish driving his No. 17. Robidoux, climbed from the rear back to the front after a mid-race tangle, finished second.

Gomes was in third, capturing the Triple Crown title in the No. 10 for the 2023 season. Mikey LeFort III grabbed another top-five finish in fourth with Brent Robidoux finishing fifth.

Zachary Keith, Dylan Calabro, Ryan Vanasse Jr., Brody Wakefield and Jordan Duquette finished the top-10.

The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws will be back on track on Friday, August 25, for another 15-lap feature. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media for the latest news and updates.
