Legends and Bandoleros raced on Sunday, June 23, at Slinger Speedway in Wisconsin. Lincoln Cain picked up his first Legends win while Bentley Thompson went back to victory lane in Bandoleros. Race recaps and results below by the track (Legends and Bandolero portion extracted for posting on LN).
Lincoln Cain captured his first feature victory in the 25-lap Legends main event. Dillon Schwanbeck crossed the finish line in second place followed by Andrew Borntreger in third. Jon Kemp ran a strong race and finished fourth ahead of Art Hahn who took the checkered flag in fifth. Rose Borntreger won the first Legends heat race and Ayrton Brockhouse won the second Legends heat. Brockhouse also was the fast qualifier for the evening with a lap time of 13.333 seconds.
Bentley Thompson chased down Cole Kurth in the 15-lap Bandolero feature and made a last lap pass to score the victory. Ace Oldenhoff edged Kurth for second at the finish line, leaving Kurth to finish third. Lincoln Johnson was fourth followed by Mason Obermeyer in fifth. Axel Oldenhoff and Bentley Thompson were the winners of the Bandolero heat races and Oliver Weinkauf was the fastest qualifier after turning in a qualifying lap time of 14.549 seconds.
