In 2021, during a NASCAR on FOX segment prior to coverage of a NASCAR Cup Series race, a video of a massive Legends Car pile-up at Bowman Gray Stadium in North Carolina from years past made it on their “Put it Out” segment.
At the start of the Legends Car race on the quarter-mile track, rain began to fall, and before the race officials threw the yellow flat to stop the action, the cars raced into turn one, hitting the wet pavement, sending nearly the entire field into the wall, and in one case, a car going over on it’s side. All drivers were OK, however, it made for a wild video.
