Horley racing driver Nathan Anthony says he is absolutely raring to go for the long-awaited resumption of the Legends Cars Championship with allgrowth Ltd season 10 days from now, where the Team F4V driver is hoping for a best ever showing around Snetterton 300 Circuit.

It’s been almost four months since the Championship was in action at Brands Hatch in Kent, for the American Speedfest event, but during the off-season Nathan has been racing in the sister Legends Cars Elite Cup with JLM – which proved to be an incredibly successful campaign for Team F4V.

Reaching its conclusion at Knockhill in Scotland last month, as part of the support package to the British Touring Car Championship, the six-round Elite Cup ended in style for Nathan with title victory in the Masters Cup category.

In addition to lifting the Gerard McCosh Napoleon Award for winning the Masters crown, he also secured a top 10 finish in the overall Elite Cup standings at the rain-hit Scottish track. This came off the back of a maiden outright Elite Cup podium during the previous race meeting at Croft in North Yorkshire, also alongside the BTCC.

During the break in race action since the final rounds of the Elite Cup, Nathan has been exceptionally busy with business commitments at First 4 Vans. Attention will soon turn back to the track though, where he is determined to produce the same level of performance he showed during the Elite Cup.

Ahead of rounds five and six of the Legends Cars Championship season, Nathan is 15th in the points standings after some misfortune during the first couple of race meetings at Cadwell Park and Brands Hatch. Currently less than 150 points outside the top 10, with 200 points available for a win it shows how closely matched the competitors are and how things can change race-by-race.

As ever, six Legends Cars races are in store at Snetterton over the weekend 7th/8th October where Nathan will be supported by his strong portfolio of key partners First 4 Vans, Towergate Insurance, Blue Lizard, Blue Chip Warranty, Moove and Creative Funding Solutions.

Nathan Anthony:
“We’re raring to go for Snetterton, I can’t wait to be back in the Se-Van and pushing hard for some good results. It’s been a fair few weeks since the Elite Cup finale, and obviously several months since the previous rounds of the Championship, so the aim is to be up to speed as quickly as possible and to put on a good show.

“Winning the Masters title in the Elite Cup was fantastic, and I was really pleased to be in the top 10 overall as well. We’ve got a bit of work to do to overturn some of the bad luck we had during the early part of the Championship season, but I’m feeling confident and really looking forward to being back at Snetterton.”

The timetable for the upcoming race weekend is still to be confirmed, but the usual Legends Cars Championship with allgrowth Ltd format will be in place with a qualifying session and three races on Saturday, 7th October, comprising round five. On Sunday, 8th October, three more races will form round six. Live timing will be available all weekend courtesy TSL Timing.

About Team F4V:
Established in 2011 for team owner Nathan Anthony’s maiden season of racing in the Legends Cars Championship, Team F4V has become synonymous with the category for 5/8 scale 1930s style American car models. Famously, Team F4V created the first ‘van’ to race in Legends Cars – known as the Se-Van rather than ‘Sedan’ – a genius marketing strategy for Nathan’s business, Horley-based First 4 Vans. Nathan is a podium finisher and Masters Cup class winner in Legends Cars and won the inaugural Legends Cars Elite Cup ‘Masters Cup’ title this year in the all-new British Touring Car Championship supporting category which was screened live on ITV4. Nathan is also contesting the regular Legends Cars Championship with allgrowth Ltd in 2023. Team F4V fielded a second Se-Van for three-time Legends Cars Champion Miles Rudman at the opening Elite Cup event at Brands Hatch, where he claimed the squad’s maiden win.
