From Team F4V Media PR –
• Team F4V aims to build on Donington pace as series heads to Brands
• Rounds 3&4 of Legends campaign supporting BTCC again this weekend
• Horley’s Nathan targeting consistency at home track Brands Hatch Indy
Nathan Anthony is looking forward to a healthy helping of ‘home’ support when the Legends Cars Championship arrives at Brands Hatch Indy Circuit this coming weekend, 11th/12th May, for rounds three and four of the 2024 season.
The Team F4V driver from Horley near Gatwick, where his First 4 Vans business is also based, made a good start to the category’s 30th anniversary season at Donington Park just over a week ago where he chalked-up some solid finishes, with a best result of seventh position in Heat One of round two.
Showing good pace and competitiveness during the opening weekend to the Championship and Elite Cup, Nathan’s trusty No.29 Se-Van ran well and he was satisfied with his own performances as well across the five races contested. Although six contests were scheduled, the round two Final had to be cancelled due to timetable congestion after heavy and persistent rain on the Sunday.
Heading into rounds three and four at Brands Hatch which, like Donington, will run as part of the support package to the British Touring Car Championship, Nathan is focused, determined and very much looking forward to competing in front of family, friends and local sponsors at his home venue.
Of course, being part of the BTCC weekend also means the Legends will again benefit from racing in front of tens of thousands of spectators trackside and some of the day two action will also be shown live on ITV4 and ITVX. This offers fantastic exposure for Nathan’s partners First 4 Vans, Towergate Insurance, Blue Lizard, Blue Chip Warranty, Creative Funding Solutions, Moove and Mowermate.
Nathan will arrive at Brands second in the Masters Cup battle in both the main Championship and the Elite Cup, the latter contested across the three BTCC events Legends Cars are part of in 2024, and he is also tied for 10th in the overall standings with Luke Simmons. Nathan did lead the Masters immediately after Donington, but some post-race results changes mean he is now second.
Nathan Anthony:
“Brands Hatch can’t come soon enough! I always love racing there, we’ve had some good results at the Indy Circuit over the years and we always have fantastic support, being the home event for Team F4V. Hopefully we can build on some of the decent results from Donington and try and move into the lead of the Masters Cup, that’s definitely the target.
“Donington was an odd weekend, for a variety of reasons, but I was pretty happy with the pace we showed and I’m hoping we can be quick out of the box at Brands. Consistency is the aim, we need to bank as many points as we can so that’s the focus for all six races at the weekend.”
Nathan will be on track at Brands Hatch at 09.10 on Saturday, 11th May, for the qualifying practice with Heat One of round three starting around 11.40, Heat Two begins at 14.25 and the opening day’s Final will be at 17.10. On Sunday, 12th May, round four Heat One will begin at 10.00, Heat Two is scheduled for 13.50 and the Final is expected to start at 17.55.
