Legends Nation Providing Event Coverage at the 2024 Summer Shootout Championship Round July 30

2024 LN Event Coverage - Summer Shootout Series Championship Round

Today, Legends Nation has announced the premier Legend Cars and Bandolero news and informational website will be on hand providing event coverage of the 2024 Cook Out Summer Shootout Series championship round at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC) on Tuesday, July 30.

Since the site launch in 2007, Legends Nation has been the primary independent news organization to cover the Summer Shootout events. When Legends Nation closed down a few years back that at-track coverage ceased. Once re-obtaining ownership of the brand he created, Jason “Stix” Buckley relaunched the website in 2023, however, due to LN HQ currently being in Texas, the website focused more on posting news and information from the Shootout and other tracks from afar. In 2024, Buckley has started setting up at-track coverage once again, and will visit North Carolina for the 10th round of the Shootout.

The event coverage can be found here, which is located in the Event Coverage section of LN.

“I am looking forward to finally getting back to North Carolina to the track that originally brought me to the south many years ago,” said Buckley. “I moved from Wisconsin in 1998 to North Carolina due to my love for racing and Charlotte Motor Speedway. A few career changes have taken me all over the country, including California, Kentucky, Tennessee, and currently Texas, however, North Carolina is where the home of Legends and Bandolero racing is, and where my heart belongs. So getting back to the area for the Summer Shootout finale is going to be a great time for myself as well as Legends Nation.”

This past weekend, Legends Nation tested a new style of event coverage at Houston Motorsports Park’s HMP Oval Track (TX). That coverage can be found here.

“Event coverage for Legends Nation has changed a lot over the years due to technology, the internet, and social media,” said Buckley. “Prior to launching Legends Nation under the 51 Sports brand in 2007, I was going to the track dating back to 1995 or so taking pictures of Legend Cars as well as race videos. In 1997 I was at the first-ever Bandolero race in 1997, videoing it from the stands. When we launched LN, we wrote race reports to add to the photos and videos, and started at-track live typing updates.

“In 2010 under my own brand, we continued ramping up the video interview and at-track updates coverage. In 2015, when my career went a different direction and I turned LN over to my friend, Brian Nagy, he partnered with a company to do live paid video streaming coverage of some races. When that partnership switched to being under the USLCI TV brand instead of LN TV, LN was shut down, so now with it back under my ownership and relaunched, I had to figure out what coverage LN would do that people would want.”

Legends Nation will not provide live broadcast coverage of the championship events as that is handled by FloRacing, however, there will be additional content for the fans, drivers, teams, and sport posted on the LN site and across the socials.

“FloRacing, as well as USLCI TV, Racing America, and many of the other online streaming services do a great job showcasing Legends and Bandolero racing in a live setting,” continued Buckley. “I have no plans for Legends Nation to compete with those entities. Instead, LN will work with them to promote what they do best for the sport as a whole. With that, just like the coverage this past weekend at the HMP Oval Track, LN will take photos and have updates and video interviews from the track posted on the site and across social media of winners and various personalities and drivers in the sport. We will have some really fun videos and content as well.”

LN will also make appearances at more events through the year.

“We have some plans in place already to go to various big events during the year for our personal coverage. It is a balance of making sure we continue to post news and results from tracks everywhere as well as do personal coverage at a track, especially due to the expense of travel. However, if we have sponsorship to travel to cover races, we will travel practically anywhere in the country, and maybe in the future, internationally to places like the United Kingdom where Legends Cars Championship race.”

Legends Nation is currently looking for marketing partners for our unique coverage of the Summer Shootout Series championship round. If you or your brand would like exposure and show support for LN and the Nation, contact us at info@legendsnation.com.
