Legends raced Saturday, June 29, at Ona Speedway in West Virginia with Jason Garrett winning the feature. Series recap of the racing action as well as results below (Legends portion extracted for posted on LN).
Trouble struck on the opening lap of the 20 lap Three Sixteen Motorsports INEX Legends Car feature as Dale Garrett and Scott Martin would make contact off of turn 2 on the first lap with Martin spinning to the infield and Garrett getting hard into the turn two guardrail. Garrett would walk away uninjured but would be done for the race while Martin would be able to continue. On the second attempted start, Jason Garrett quickly moved from his fourth place starting position to pass all three cars in front of him and take the race lead on lap one. Once in the lead Garrett would start to inch away from the field while Tyler Martin, Scott Martin, and Randall Cline all engaged in a great race from second on back. Garrett would lead the remaining laps to claim his fifth win of the season! Tyler Martin would cross the checkered flag second but did not go to tech and was disqualified per the Ona Speedway rule book. This moved Scott Martin into the second place finishing position with Randall Cline third, Jay Dunlap fourth, and Teddy Berry fifth. Dunlap would be credited with the Semi-Pro class win as he was the highest finishing Semi-Pro driver.
