Legends raced on Saturday, July 13, at the Indianapolis Speedrome (IN) in honor of Drake Wood, who passed away just a week earlier. Cody Bullock won his first Legends feature. Read the race details below, as posted on social media by the track.
TRACK RECAP:
A special night brings a special win for Cody Bullock. It was Cody’s first ever Bruce Litton Trailer Sales Legend victory. That alone was special for Bullock and his team. His season has had up’s and down’s including a early season testing crash. This made all that a memory as Cody was joined by Drake Wood’s parents at the start/finish line.
But Saturday’s event was much more special than just a win. The 54-lap feature was a tribute to division driver Drake Wood who had passed just a week prior. Drivers from this and Drake’s previous class Adult Faskarts gathered prior to the national anthem to pay tribute to their friend.
Many, many people poured the hearts out as well donating addition prize money and awards to the event in Drake’s honor. We want to thank each and every one of them for their generosity and support. And we all will miss this young man for years.
