The return to South Boston Speedway in Virginia for Legend Cars takes place on Saturday, September 14, joining the CARS Tour for a great weekend of racing action. U.S Legend Cars | South Boston Speedway Notes | September 14, 2024 Event
• Registration and parking will take place on Friday morning or Saturday morning per schedule
• Please let CARS Tour/ South Boston staff know if there is anyone who needs to park with you; teams that need to park together will need to arrive together and register together for ease on officials and track staff
• Registration will take place at the back gate when you sign in; back gate is located outside of Turn 2
• All Legend Car drivers and teams must sign in at the track prior to entering pit area
• All Legend Cars will race each other; no splitting by division
• B-Mains may be run, depending on car count and time
• Two-way radios will be permitted for use on Friday September 13, PRACTICE DAY ONLY
• Racecievers are MANDATORY for all on-track competition on race day, Saturday, Sept. 14
• Two-way radios WILL NOT BE PERMITTED for Saturday’s event, and if found in car, radio will be confiscated for duration of event from driver/team
• Initial start will be on the flagman. All restarts will be on the control car (leader) inside the designated restart zone. Front row is expected to maintain pace car speed with no slowing down or speeding up. There should be no bumping or pushing coming to green.
• When yellow is called, back out of the gas immediately and get single-file nose-to-tail to the car in front of you and no passing cars. Once pace car has the field under control, we will begin working lineup as quickly as possible.
• All restarts will be double-file, NO CHOOSE. Caution cars and cars laps down will all be relegated to the inside line; cars deemed involved will go to the tail of their respective lap (lead lap or lap down)
• Top 5 finishers will report to technical inspection, with Top 3 going to front stretch pit road/ Victory Lane for interviews, then to tech unless otherwise told.
• Time limit may be utilized with the time flag being displayed if race runs over on time
• Raceciver channel will be 454.000
