Lance Mackey lived a wild life. The four-time Iditarod champion from Alaska, known as “The Legend” and “The World’s Toughest Athlete,” had one of the most horrific Legend Car wrecks in history in 2021, and during subsequent medical examinations, doctors discovered a tumor around his lungs. He passed away in September of 2022.
“Wild life – the Lance Mackey Story,” documents the extraordinary life of Mackey, from mushing to racing Legend Cars to family and his cancer. From director Finn-Erik Rognan and Maverix, the documentary won numerous international awards, and can be seen in full online now.
