Kyle Busch, multi-time Legend Car and NASCAR champion, has passed away on Thursday, May 21, per a social release by NASCAR. Busch, who raced and won in multiple Legends events this season, was scheduled to race Thursday in the Showdown Series Legends event at Hickory Motor Speedway prior to being taken to the hospital with a severe illness, per a message on his social media.
Earlier this year, Busch confirmed with Legends Nation he was going to compete in the entire 2026 Summer Shootout Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the Masters division with the goal of winning all 10 rounds and the championship.
He was 41 years old.
