PJ Evans Wins New London-Waterford Speedbowl Legend Car Fall Classic Saturday

New London-Waterford Speedbowl - September 14 2024 - PJ Evans

The Legend Car Fall Classic at New London-Waterford Speedbowl (CT) took place on Saturday, September 14. PJ Evans claimed the victory ahead of Dylan Freeman and Riley Paul. Results below as posted on the track’s website.

EDIT: Added the race recap from the track below.

The annual Legend Car Fall Classic kicked off the night in a 40 lap affair with Wade Oemcke leading from the drop of the green flag with Riley Paul in his mirror. A heavy bump draft from Paul that would eventually lead to Oemcke’s rear bumper getting dislodged and sending him to the infield. PJ Evans, Kyle Caissie, and Dylan Freeman worked their way past Paul while Evans and Caissie took control of the race from lap 6. The running order would remain unchanged until 8 laps to go when Caissie’s car had a parts failure, sending him to the pits for the remainder of the event. Evans got the jump off the line, and after a brief battle with Freeman he went on to score his fifth win of the season.
