Legends raced with the ARCA Menards Series West at All American Speedway (CA) on Saturday, October 5. David Mayhew drove to the Legends victory. Read the race recap below, as posted by the track.
Bakersfield’s David Mayhew, twice a runner-up in the ARCA West competition at Roseville, won the MMI Legends Tour West Pressler Properties 35-lap feature. 20 INEX Legends participated in the race. Opening lap carnage ensued when Zach Sansom and New Mexico’s Sean Salazar had hard contact in turn four. MMI Legends points leader Tyler Reif drove up to second by lap 13. Sansom then tangled hard with Sacramento’s David Shelly and stopped on the backstretch with damage on lap 24.
Mayhew persevered over a three-wide challenge involving Reif and Brenden Ruzbarsky of Tracy on lap 26. Mayhew topped Reif, Ruzbarsky, Roseville points leader Brandon White of Eureka, and Bakersfield’s Logan Chambers at the finish.
