From Scottish Legends Cars Championship (United Kingdom) Media –
The Knockhill Motor Sport Club (KMSC) is delighted to confirm a 34-car Legend field for the opening race weekend of the 2026 season, taking place on April 18th & 19th at Knockhill Racing Circuit.
Reigning Champion Ben Mason will return to Scotland’s National Motorsport Centre to begin his title defence, carrying the coveted No. 1 plate on his Cresta Racing Legend. With a full grid of competitive drivers assembled, Mason is set to face strong challenges from across the field.
His closest rivals are Daniel Clark of Clark Motorsport, runner-up in the 2025 championship, and Mathew Pape, who secured third place overall. Both drivers will be aiming to deliver consistent early-season performances, fully aware of how crucial the opening rounds can be in shaping the championship battle.
Emerging talent will also be in the spotlight, with 2025 Rookie of the Year Carlos Perez and 2025 Best Newcomer Murray Scott looking to challenge for podium finishes and break into the established top 5.
The 2026 grid highlights the continued success of KMSC’s technical direction, with 90% of the field now powered by the three-cylinder, water-cooled engine. The initiative was designed to create a more level playing field, enabling the original XJR 1250cc engine to remain competitive alongside the newer specification.
Fans can expect a full weekend of action on the challenging anticlockwise configuration at Knockhill. Tickets for the April 18th & 19th event are available via the official Knockhill website.
