The Nelcar Tour raced on Sunday, May 26, at Wiscasset Speedway (ME). The race honored legendary racer Bob Weymouth, who passed in May 2023 from the Powassan Virus from an unknown tick bite. Weymouth’s famed No. 399 Legends led the field during pace laps in his honor, driven by Doug Coombs.
In the feature, Jase Mongeon drove to the victory with Josh Parsons and Reagan Parent rounding out the top three.
The three drivers were joined in victory lane by, Annemarie Weymouth, the widow of the late Bob Weymouth, who was at the track to help raise awareness for tick-born illnesses.
