From Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC) PR –

The Cook Out Summer Shootout returns to Charlotte Motor Speedway next Monday and Tuesday night for its 31st anniversary season with an exhilarating doubleheader filled with intense racing, thrilling games and themed prizes.

On top of eight weeks of action-packed racing, with the world’s best grassroots racers taking on the famed quarter-mile in their Bandoleros and Legend Cars, fans can also look forward to entertaining theme nights, filled with interactive games, prizes and more. During the summer, Cook Out Summer Shootout is the best place to spend time with family and friends.

To help wave the first green flag of the season, Monday, fans are invited to come out for Cook Out Kickoff. The Cook Out Kick-Off will shake up the speedway as fans put their trivia knowledge to the test and “grill”their family and friends with questions. Fans who visit an area Cook Out prior to entry can show their cup at the gate for free admission to the opening night festivities.

In addition to our regularly scheduled programming, fans are invited to tune in Tuesday for part two of the doubleheader. Join your favorite local TV personalities at the track for “Media Mayhem” as these media members find their need for speed in a school bus slobberknocker. Catch PRN’s very own Doug Rice in action as a guest analyst for the 10-ton tussle of talent featuring:

  • Jeff Taylor (WCCB)
  • Kyle Bailey (WFNZ)
  • Carla Gebhart (Queen City News)
  • Chris Rozak (106.5FM WEND)
  • Mark Smith (Spectrum News)
