OCTOBER 26 – LEGEND CAR PRO DIVISION ASPHALT NATIONAL CHAMPION INTERVIEW

OCTOBER 26 – LEGEND CAR MASTERS DIVISION ASPHALT NATIONAL CHAMPION

Due to the action within the Masters division Nationals race at Dominion Raceway (VA), including a DQ in tech, it wasn’t immediately clear who came out on top with the points championship.

In our unofficial calculations, Kevin Rollins finished with 1980 points (1900 points coming in + 80 points for ninth), while Kevin Nowak finished with 1979 points (1888 points coming in + 91 points for fourth). With that, Rollins would be (unofficially) the Masters season champion by one point.

Due to not knowing the calculations, LN didn’t interview Rollins at the track. We will interview him in the future.

BONUS VIDEO: TIM BROCKHOUSE ON BEATING CANCER AND LIFE CHANGES

For Tim Brockhouse, life changed in the matter of moments when he was diagnosed with throat cancer. Given just three months to live, Brockhouse went through surgery and chemotherapy that almost killed him.

At the checkered flag of the intense therapy, he went to the victory lane of life, beating cancer.

LN talked to Brockhouse at the Asphalt Nationals about the emotional road he and his family went through, his focus on his kids’ racing careers, and his businesses, Great North Legends and the purchase of Tomah Sparta Speedway in Wisconsin.

BONUS VIDEO: JENSEN JORGENSEN WRECKS OUT OF PRO DIVISION NATIONALS FEATURE

The 2024 Legend Car Asphalt Nationals was going as planned for Pro driver, Jensen Jorgensen, until it wasn’t. While running second in the feature, his car slid up the track off turn four, smacking the wall and ending his race and chance at the National Points championship. He spoke to LN about the incident.

Former NASCAR Cup Series driver, Jamie McMurray, still spends a lot of time at the race track, but now as a father of a race car driver as his son, Carter, races in the Legends Young Lions division. At the 2024 Legend Car Asphalt Nationals, we spoke to him during a pause in the feature race about his newer role at the track.

BONUS VIDEO: MASTER DRIVER KEVIN FOISY MAKES 2025 ANNOUNCEMENT

Legends Car Masters driver Kevin Foisy took a year off from racing. That didn’t keep him from the track as he showed up helping Ryan Mackintosh’s team. We talked to him briefly between races, where he revealed he is bringing the bubble coupe back out to race in 2025.

BONUS VIDEO: INTERVIEW WITH CMG MOTORSPORTS OWNER MIKE GWALTNEY

Mike Gwaltney wears many hats. Not only does he own and run CMG Motorsports, he runs an INEX parts dealership as well as helping out for whatever is needed at Dominion Raceway (VA). We spoke to him about everything he does.
