The Nelcar Tour headed to Star Speedway in New Hampshire on Saturday, July 1. Winners of the features were Ryan Vanasse Jr in Bandoleros and Zach Martinez in Legends. Race report below, as posted by Nelcar on their social media.
What a day it was at Star Speedway! In the Bandoleros, Brent Robidoux took off to a large lead early. Mechanical failure took him out early on, dashing hopes of what would have likely been a podium finish. Ryan Vanasse Jr took over and didn’t look back, holding off Bryson Robidoux, Grayson Day, Mikey Lefort Jr, and Parker Davis for the win in an eventful 20 lap race. In the Legends feature, it was Trent Goodrow that shot out to the early lead, maintaining it through a rash of early cautions. Zach Martinez was able to take the lead around the halfway point and hold off the hard charging Goodrow for a .2 second victory. Ty Leclerc, Kevin Girard Jr, and Reagan Parent skillfully navigated through a few close calls and heavy lap traffic to nail down the top 5. We will have the full official finish posted soon!!
