A new dirt series for Legend Cars has launched in Florida.
Created by Legends driver Daniel Alvarez, the Dirt Legends of the South was announced Sunday, which will have a points fund to pay the top three. Currently, the 2025 tentative schedule will see seven races between Hendry County Motorsports Park and North Florida Speedway (schedule below, and also posted in the LN Schedules section). Per a post by Alvarez on social media, the series will run the INEX rules with the INEX Hoosier tires, with at least $200 to win each race.
Over the years, the Florida dirt scene of Legend Car racing has had a bit of difficulty getting organized. Prior to this announcement, the only dirt track in the state that showed Legends on their schedule was Marion County Speedway, which had 12 cars on this past Saturday’s race in which Alvarez won. The new series is looking to restructure and rebuild the Legend Car dirt scene in Florida across multiple tracks.
